Celebrating 15 Years – and the Teachers Who Made It Possible
This year, as City Leadership celebrates 15 years of impact, we can’t help but pause and reflect with gratitude.
Gratitude for the leaders who said yes when Memphis needed them.
Gratitude for every teacher, volunteer, donor, and advocate who helped build this movement.
Gratitude for you… because none of this happens without a city full of people who show up, invest, and believe in what’s possible here.
So first, let me just say: thank you.
You’ve helped prove the idea that tens of thousands of people across the 901 are proud and willing to serve their community. It's been beautiful to be apart of.

This Thursday: It's time to celebrate Memphis teachers!
You know the real MVPs of this city? Educators.
They’re the ones staying late, showing up early, and investing every ounce of their energy into the next generation.
So this week, we’re teaming up with Chick-fil-A Union Ave to say thank you in the biggest way we can: with food, fun, and prizes!

A portion of all day’s proceeds support Teacher Appreciation!!
This is a super easy way to celebrate the incredible work being done in Memphis classrooms every day. And here’s a little secret: A strong turnout at this event helps us build momentum for future initiatives with Chick-fil-A that are in the works (more on that soon). Showing up now helps open doors for even bigger things ahead!
Whether you’re a teacher, a parent, a former student, or just a Memphis believer, you’re invited. Let’s eat some chicken, celebrate our educators, and keep building a city where leaders are loved and empowered.
