Every year around this time, I think about what it actually means to be a dad in Memphis. Not the greeting card version. The real one.
The version where you're trying to raise kids who love this city. Who are proud of where they come from. Who see Memphis for what it really is- complicated, creative, resilient, and worth fighting for.
That's the kind of dad I want to be.
