We’ve officially had our first real taste of sweater weather in Memphis! The mornings are crisp, the leaves are doing their thing, and for a moment, it actually feels like fall.
Of course, we all know Memphis weather has a wild streak—so if it hits 75 next week, just act surprised with the rest of us.
But while the temps are up and down, one thing actually remains steady: this is the season to show up for one another.
Whether it’s helping us pull off a Memphis-style Friendsgiving for our amazing Choose901 Alumni or donating to the Give901 Food Drive, you’ve got some great ways to jump in and do some good right now.
🦃 Friendsgiving Fundraiser Still Going Strong!
We’re collecting donations to build an incredible spread for Memphis’s next generation of educators, leaders, and changemakers: the Choose901 Alumni. And we still need your help to fund the feast.

🥫 The Give901 Food & Essentials Drive Is On!
At the same time, we’re helping stock the shelves for families across Memphis by collecting food, essentials, and warm clothing through December 12.
All donations will be shared with our Give901 partner organizations who are on the front lines serving the community.
We’re collecting:
Non-perishable food (canned goods, pasta, rice, etc.)
Household essentials (paper towels, dish soap, etc.)
Warm clothing (new or gently used jackets, sweatshirts, coats)

Why It Matters
These efforts, Friendsgiving and the Food Drive, are about more than meals and canned goods. They’re about building belonging. They’re about showing the next generation, and our neighbors, that Memphis looks out for its own.
