What I do for city Leadership

As the Digital Content Coordinator at City Leadership, I'm dedicated to enhancing the online presence of our campaigns—like Choose901, Teach901, and Serve901—through management of our websites, social media platforms, and newsletters.

My role involves executing dynamic content strategy tailored to the unique needs of the Memphis community and those considering making it their home.

I utilize my skills in web design, digital marketing, and social media to ensure our messaging is both impactful and engaging.

Whether you're a Memphian or someone just curious about Memphis, I'm here to provide you with valuable, timely information that showcases the best of our city.

CONNECT WITH ME

How I got to Memphis…

Born and raised in Memphis, I’m a fifth generation Memphian with deep roots in Memphis’ Jewish community. My family's history here stretches back over a century, enriching my upbringing with a strong sense of local pride and responsibility.

From attending blues gigs at the Center for Southern Folklore on Main Street to volunteering at community cleanups for MLK Day, my childhood was deeply intertwined with Memphis’ rich culture.

I naturally chose to build my career here, motivated by a desire to contribute to the city's growth. Walking the streets of Memphis today, I am constantly reminded of the legacy my ancestors left behind and my own commitment to ensuring that Memphis continues to thrive for generations to come.

Why I Choose901

Family. Friends. Culture. Realness. Growth.

Memphis is my home, where my family has been for generations. I choose to stay and invest in Memphis, like them, because it feels like a part of me, as vital as the water from the Memphis Aquifer that sustains this land.

The realness of this city is palpable. From the streets that echo the sounds of blues and soul to the sites that have borne witness to pivotal civil rights struggles, Memphis embodies resilience and authenticity. It's a city that doesn’t shy away from its past, whether it's confronting the shadows of slavery or celebrating the movements that have fought for equality and justice.

Choosing Memphis is choosing to be part of a community that values history and embraces growth. It’s a place where I can see the impact of my contributions, where I can be part of something larger than myself. This city, with all its challenges and charms, is my home.

I'm a self-proclaimed foodie, always eager to discover and revisit the deliciousness our city has to offer. My go-to comfort food is the Kimchi Burrito from Kwik Check, a spot that's also featured on Choose901's Memphis Bucket List Eats. When it's time for something sweet, I’m slurping on a Brown Sugar Milk Tea (of course with boba) from Sugar Ghost, highlighted in Choose901's Ultimate Guide to Frozen Treats in Memphis.

Beyond my food adventures, I'm deeply committed to making a difference in our community. I serve on the boards of the Jewish Historical Society of Memphis and the Mid-South and Tennesseans for Alternatives to the Death Penalty, where I contribute to meaningful change and celebrate Memphis's rich heritage and forward-thinking community spirit. Through these roles, I strive to contribute to making Memphis not just a place to live, but a place to love and thrive.

At home, I’m a proud dog mom to the cutest big-eared mini schnauzer, Harley, adopted from Schnauzer Love Rescue. As a Tech901 grad, I code on the side creating projects that encourage social change. Check out my portfolio! I’m the fiancé of Brandon Ellis, founder of SpatialGrow. I’m also a twin, sister, daughter, and child of the universe.
