Counting down t0 901 day!

12 days out!

That's how far we are from 9.01 Day. Twelve days until we do what Memphis does every year around this time- stop, look around, and remind ourselves why we love this place.

Some cities need a reason to celebrate. Memphis doesn't. We celebrate because we've built something worth showing up for. Because the story of this city keeps getting written by the people who call it home.

That's what 9.01 Day has always been about for us. Not a single day on a calendar, but a whole city deciding, together, to show some love for the 901.

So let's get you ready. Here's what's coming.

Friday Night Trolley Night — Aug. 28, 5–10 p.m.

First up, an easy one to add to your calendar.

Trolley Night is happening Friday, 5–10 p.m., with a Kickoff Mixer & Concert at NCRM x Shell on Wheels starting at 7 p.m. And just down the street, South Main is throwing its own mixer to keep the night going.

Trolley Night has always been one of those Memphis traditions that reminds you how good this city is at bringing people together with art, music, neighbors, all in one stretch of downtown. If you're looking for a low-key way to start easing into 901 Day mode, this is it.

9.01 Day on Beale — Sunday, Aug. 30, 11 a.m.–6 p.m.

Sunday, the celebration moves to Beale Street.

9.01 Day on Beale brings together more than 300 artists and creatives for a full day of everything Memphis does best. This is the city showing up for its own with makers, musicians, and neighbors, all in one place.

Choose901 will be tabling, and we're bringing giveaways. Come find us, say hey, and walk away with something Memphis-proud.

If you want to see what makes Memphis one of a kind, this is where you go.

Celebrate Our City: 9.01 Day 2026 — Loflin Yard, Sept. 1

And then there's the day itself.

Join Choose901 at Loflin Yard for a celebration of all things Memphis as we bring the community together to show some love for the 901.

Come hang out. Connect with fellow Memphians. Celebrate the people, the places, and the energy that make this city one of a kind.

This is what we do best- get Memphis in one place, good energy all around, and let the city remind itself what it's made of. We'd love for you to be part of it.

Why This Matters

At the end of the day, 9.01 Day isn't really about the events. It's about the reason behind them.

It's about a city that keeps choosing itself. Neighbors who keep showing up for neighbors. A community that's decided Memphis is worth celebrating loudly, publicly, together.

So mark your calendars. Clear your Friday night. Save your spot at Loflin Yard. And get ready, because Sept. 1 is coming whether you're ready or not.

Twelve days, Memphis. Let's make them count.

P.S. Speaking of showing up for Memphis: tonight's the night for the Back to School Bash at Old Dominick Rooftop. There's still time to buy a teacher a drink and help us show up for teachers heading back into the classroom.

Memphis is on the rise, and you can play a part in the story that is being written today! Donate today to make a positive impact on Memphis.
