This is one of my favorite holidays of the year because it gives us all a chance to slow down, reflect, and be grateful. I know the rest of the year will feel like a sprint so I always try to really appreciate the gift of time with family and friends.

Looking back on 2025, we’re overwhelmed with gratitude.
I don’t know about you, but for me, 2025 has been one of the most challenging and most rewarding years I’ve had in a long time. It stretched me in ways I didn’t expect, and reminded me again and again why this work, and this city, matter so much.
This year marked some of the most incredible things I’ve ever had the privilege to be part of, from celebrating 15 years of City Leadership, to watching hundreds of students serve Memphis through Serve901, to seeing teachers appreciated and alumni find their way forward through networking events. There were moments that weren't easy and others that brought so much joy.
And through it all, one thing stayed true: this city shows up. Every time.
Through the highs and lows, Memphis is full of people who love deeply, give generously, and believe that our best days are still ahead.
Every bit of impact this year happened because of YOU.
You showed up. You gave back. You believed in Memphis.
And we’re forever thankful for that.
