VICTORIA MEEKS

Victoria joined the team in January 2026 as the Operations Manager.

What do you do at City Leadership?

As the Operations Manager of City Leadership's Executive Team, I serve as a thought-partner and organizational strategist across initiatives, campaigns, grants, and partnerships. I help translate vision into action by aligning people, systems and resources to advance City Leadership's mission and impact across the city of Memphis.

HOW I GOT TO MEMPHIS

I was born and raised in Memphis, TN in the heart of Whitehaven. I remember growing up, enjoying local businesses that were owned by my neighbors; making lifelong-friends at community summer camps; and appreciating the opportunities that I was offered through my education.

I am a proud alum of the KIPP: Schools Network and the Soulsville Charter School, where I learned the power of knowledge when implemented and the impact of people-centered work. As an honoree of local scholarships, like the Memphis Grizzlies' "Don Poier Memorial Scholarship" and the Memphis "Beat the Odds" Foundation, I am proud that I get to serve the 901 while giving back to the community that gave so much to me.

Why I Choose901

Upon graduating high school, I continued my education by graduating from the University of Pennsylvania and launched my professional career in Philadelphia. While I enjoyed my time and experiences in Philadelphia, I returned home to Memphis in 2022 to help take care of my father. Since coming back to the 901, I have been rediscovering the city and enjoying the new, amazing things that my first home has to offer.

About me

Throughout the week, I serve at my local church, Redemption Church in Downtown Memphis, as the Executive Director of Ministries. In this role, I get to help move the mission forward by developing and cultivating healthy church leaders through talent development and continuous education.

In my free time, if I am not making candles for my faith-based business, I am either strolling through Trader Joe's for all the new snacks or enjoying the great outdoors while simultaneously looking up new food places to try with friends and family. My favorite restaurants in Memphis right now are Good Fortune and Petals of a Peony!
